New Services…combined In-Use / Common Law…EU-wide Co. Name Search

By Uncategorized No Comments

In addition to our usual IP support services, eccora is now pleased to offer two new services to help you and your clients protect and strengthen IP:

• A combined in-use and UK common law investigation; this will provide one report covering the question of whether a mark is in use or not, combined with an exact common law search on the mark. Costs for a 5-day turnaround will be £750 plus VAT

• An EU-wide company name search to establish if your trade mark is registered as a company name in any of the 28 EU member states. This search costs £350 plus VAT.

We continue to offer the same seamless investigation services, the results of which have been used in courts and registries and by IP professionals in several countries to show

• Trade mark use and non-use;
• Company and business name profiling;
• Domain name investigations;
• Common Law searches;
• Trade mark infringement investigations;
• Establishing unregistered prior rights

We look forward to being able to assist you.

The UK votes to leave the EU – what now?

By Uncategorized No Comments

Although the UK has now voted to leave the EU, there will be no immediate change to IP protection levels or requirements. It is—and will continue to be—business as usual until there are any political or legal changes, which will be a matter of many months or years.

eccora will continue to monitor the situation and will react as and when circumstances change. The need for IP investigations will be there whether we are in or out of the EU and we will continue to help and assist all our clients with the growth and protection of their IP portfolios.

Season’s Greetings

By Uncategorized No Comments

Season’s Greetings. In warm appreciation of our association during the past year, we extend our very best wishes for a happy holiday season and throughout 2016.

Instead of sending Christmas cards this year, we will be making a charitable donation to Muscular Dystrophy UK, a charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to fight against muscle-wasting conditions, affecting around 70,000 children and adults in the UK.

Please note that our offices will be closed on 25 December and 1 Jan 2016.

As always, if you have any requirements in the New Year with regards to our IP investigation services please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 0203 021 0210 or email us at mail@eccora.com

Autumn news

By Uncategorized No Comments

England may well be out of the Rugby World Cup, but as autumn well and truly sets in, here at eccora we’re looking forward to a busy time of what’s left of 2015 and ahead to 2016. It’s less than two months to go until the ITMA Christmas lunches—the festive highlight for the UK IP profession—and a chance to catch up with clients, friends and colleagues. We’ve decided to get some desk calendars made, which will be with you during December. If you want to check whether you’re on our client database to receive one, please email us. On the sleuthing side of things, we’re involved in some very exciting IP acquisition work and a number of trade mark infringement and anti-counterfeiting projects. Please get in touch if there are any issues that would benefit from our investigation services.
